First Baptist Colleyville started this past Sunday morning... we had 26 saved. The church is definitely going through some stormy waters. The pastor had resigned a few weeks before we got there. The staff is struggling with his departure. So we walked into a little bit of a hornets nest. The enemy tried to do everything he could to stop this week, but we pressed on anyway. I spoke over a dozen times in four days, to basketball teams, football teams, and a Christian school. We invited as many people as we could to this week of rescue. The crowds were small, but God was very big. We ended up seeing over 60 people saved. I was able to minister to the senior staff and to the youth staff as they were hurting and needed some hope. The alters were full, people were broken, some with the restoration and got their passion back for God. I told the staff they were in a storm and compared it to Jesus telling his disciples to get in the boat and go across the lake and he'd meet them there. They started about three in the afternoon, twelve hours later Jesus was walking on the water and he's caught up with them. The Bible says Jesus stopped because he saw them straining at the oars because the wind was against them. If they would have stopped rowing, he would have kept walking, so I encouraged the staff and the church to keep rowing because the wind and the waves that are coming against them could be worry, fear, confusion, questions of whats up for their church. Jesus stopped and got in the boat with them. So I want to encourage you today, if things are coming against you, your church, or your family, keep rowing.
