I apologize for being late with my blogging. We had an incredible time in Molokai, Hawaii. We saw somewhere around 50 people come to Christ, maybe a few more. Sunday morning we saw 13 saved, all adults. Sunday night we had 8 or 9 students that were saved. We had a mens deal on Monday night and saw 3, 4, or 5 men saved. Tuesday I spoke in their high school and spoke to a little more than half of their students. They are no different that any in the US, they have the same needs and issues. They need Jesus like anyone else. Tuesday night we saw 25 saved. Pray for Randy and his wife Louise, he's the pastor of the church. They thought they would be there two years, they've been there twelve. It's the most of Hawaiian of the islands. Only 7000 people, no Wal Mart or McDonalds. We saw some beautiful sites, the awesomeness and majesty of God you could just see as we stood on the cliffs. We hiked over 5 miles down one of those mountains into a Leper colony. There's only 32 that are still alive there, there's no telling how many have died after being sent to that island. We learned a lot of things about Hawaii and Molokai. I praise God for the opportunity that we had to minister. I had opportunities to speak his treuth and love those people. If you are looking for good pizza it's the Pizza Cafe, and I don't even like pizza. The food was incredible, the scenery, Randy and His wife and their church were incredible hosts. I praise God he opened up the door for us to be there. Please pray for Molokai Baptist that God would continue to move. If you are looking to support a ministry, this would be a great family and ministry to support. Contact me and I'll tell you how you can do that.
The flight home was not as fun as the flight there, we got in early, I preached at my church that night. Friday I spoke at a High School graduation at Corpus Christi, was able to present Jesus freely. I drove home late that night and flew out from Miami on Saturday. I spoke at Florida Christian School's graduation. It was an incredible graduation, God was there. I gave an invitation, but we had 15-20 get saved that day.
I flew out that night and got into Houston late. I started Sugar Creek Baptist Church's middle school and high school camps back to back. We probably saw around 50 saved at both camps. We baptised 26. God moved. I finished preaching on Sunday night, drove through rain, got in about 2:30 that morning, got up at 7:00 because my grandkids wanted me up. I was back on a plane to start my first wild week camp in Carlinville, IL. I believe it may be the perfect camp. We've seen 40 or so saved this week. Powerful services! We won at basketball, we beat the high school guys. I say we but I just tagged along.
The spurs are in the playoffs. I head to a Cardinals game Friday night, Saturday I'll be off to see my grandkids in Tulsa, I start preaching at Trinity Baptist on Sunday morning in Yukon. Monday we start their youth camp! Pray for us! Two words, be careful. You can look at Ephesians 5:15-16 says be careful. 1 Peter 4 says be careful around verse 12. So be careful with your time, with who you listen to and how you live, but be careful! I hope you're having a great summer, pray for us as we move on to Oklahoma, and we head to Orange Beach, Alabama. I'll try to be more faithful to blog on time. If you'll be faithful to pray for us and read it'll be good.
We're serving Jesus in the summer of '07.
See ya!
