Nashville Tn, super summer 07 was even better than last year. Be praying for Two Rivers Baptist Church. I believe they've become a threat to the devil and he has stirred up some confusion and criticizm. The church staff has been under attack, but are standing together as one team. So I walked into a hornets nest, but God showed up and met with us in a great way. We saw over 55 saved and the youth group is becoming stronger andmore unified. This years theme was Game On! I kind of shared with them the Spurs model this year, that team is everything. This year super summer became a team. We invited the whole church this year for the night services. We had pretty good attendance, the last night of super summer we bathed that church in prayer. The SAturday after super summer they had an open forum for anyone from the church to come and ask questions of the staff. They were sitting ducks for some people, it was very brutal and went almost four hours. In spite of everything God gave them strength and they stood with integrity and character and are moving forward. We had a 72 year old man give his life to Jesus that week. There was a lady also saved Sunday morning and came back to super summer on Monday and brought her friend and her friend was saved. That's kind of how it works, you bring people and a lot of times God will save them or convict them. It was a long but productive week.
I went home for five hours. I then flew out to Colorado Springs. I preached Sunday morning in Greeley, CO. We had 33 saved on Sunday morning. Sunday night we were able to chill. If you would be praying for a pastor friend of mine, his name is Andy. He's in a new church but has gone through some very trying and troubled times. Just pray for him to find his passion again for his ministry. Pray for his wife, Penny, and his three children. We were able to encourage Andy this week some. Then we went to Week Extreme. It's actually my fifth year to do this. We had right at 200 people. We saw 28 saved this week. On the first night, one 30 year old counselor, they got him to come to camp, and he was saved. Sunday morning there was a dad and a daughter saved. She came to camp with her two sisters and another sister was saved. God is working in that family. This camp had a lot of hurting kids, discarded kids. We believe they got some hope this week. Well I'm headed home for a couple of days and I'll be in Sugar Creek Baptist Church this Sunday morning the 5th. Then I'll be at Kingdom Bound in Buffalo. Be praying for us! Let me leave you with this. At least 15 times in the book of Proverbs he says fear the Lord and that means to recognize and acknowledge who God is. I encourage you to fear the Lord. That's a wise person. Hope you're having a great summer. Hope to be close to you soon!
Adios
